is an ancient practice, manifested throughout history and across cultures in many ways.
Many Christians come to know Christ through the simplicity of the sacred Gospel, then as they begin to walk with Him in their daily lives, it all becomes…less simple & sacred, it seems. Connecting to an infinite Creator as His finite creations was never meant to feel like an obligation, it was never meant to be overwhelming and it certainly is not meant to be underwhelming. Life with Christ is FULL, experiencing that fullness requires us to go to Him with others. What distinguishes this listening profession from many other listening practices is its explicit acknowledgment of God. Spiritual directors are servants of the holy, listeners with the task of being attentive to God, with and for the sake of another.
In our sessions you will have the opportunity focus on the edges of your spiritual growth. I will provide a compassionate and confidential environment where you can let your guard down, unburden your soul to find joy and healing. I will carefully listen and seek the Lord to discern with you where God may be drawing you into deeper freedom, joy, and love. You'll receive sensitive, biblical companionship tailored to your unique identity rather than general, one-size-fits-all advice. Together we will explore the past, observe the present, and weigh choices regarding the future—all the time focusing on following and responding to God’s invitations.
My training for this profession extends far beyond specific seminary courses. The Lord has been preparing and transforming into a Spiritual Director since before I knew what Spiritual Direction was. It is my deep joy and honor to walk in the culmination of my spiritual gifts and life experiences by serving you in this way.
What’s included…
$45/session or $250/6 session pack
Monthly sessions are 50 minutes & uniquely personal, through ZOOM or in person, we will together sit with Jesus. The art of my practice is to listen with you as you uncover the simple & sacred path that He designed to authentically commune with you. In each session I will give of my whole self, using my gifts + experience in “holy listening”, this allows each session to offer what He has planned. Many struggle to define Spiritual Direction, and yet, the need & hunger for it is in all of us.
Spiritual Direction is not teaching, however…don’t we all have so much to learn. From my experience + training I offer the opportunity for deep dives into topics of your interest, as the Spirit leads (e.g. family life, prayer & discernment, vocation, healing & freedom). Exploring these Biblical topics will often be followed with suggestions for spiritual disciplines + prayer practices for you to implement in your daily/weekly rhythms.
Depending on your personal process, breakthroughs and spiritual practices, connecting via email may serve you. If so this service is to be initiated by the directee. Learning to ask for what we need is a powerful part of the sanctification process. Oh how I wish they had done this in the Garden of Eden. Imagine what could have happened had Eve turned to God after hearing the snake & said, “…this talking animal is telling me that if I eat this fruit I can be more like you, I need help to know the truth…”
